Do you have 18.6 feet of total cabling in your rig? If so (and the answer is probably yes if you have even one pedal), you may be experiencing a phenomenon known as “tone suck.” Our Buffer can help!
No, it doesn’t have anything to do with your playing, but everything to do with something called capacitance. When you run over that magic number of footage, the cable builds enough capacitance to suck precious high-end from your signal, enough to where it can be heard by the human ear. Tone suck, indeed!
Oftentimes, your signal just lacks the juice to reach the finish line, and our Buffer puts that extra juice in its tank. Our Buffer restores any lost high end as a result of long cable runs, and has the simplest control set of all—none. Tone is the name of the game.
We know it hurts to spend precious pedalboard real estate on utility boxes, so we’ve put the Buffer in the smallest enclosure we can, and made it so that you can mount it on the underside of your pedalboard and out of view. Just plug into the Buffer at any point in your chain and your tone will spring back to life, no fuss, no muss.

If you can swing it, make sure you place the Buffer after vintage-style fuzzes, this helps ensure that they won't fart out. The overall effect on your tone is the exact same as placing it up front (or anywhere else).
The Buffer requires a center-negative 9VDC power adapter and 5mA of current (not included). Almost all power supplies meet this requirement, but check yours beforehand.
