Canada Post Strike: What You Need to Know About Your Shipping Options

Canada Post Strike: What You Need to Know About Your Shipping Options

Canadian residents, with the Canada Post strike in effect, here’s what you need to know about your shipping options before placing an order:

1. Free Shipping

We’re still offering free shipping on orders over $150, but note that it’ll be shipped via Chit Chats Select (read more about this service here). Packages will be left at your door without a signature—so make sure it’s safe to do so.

2. No PO Boxes

We cannot ship to PO Boxes during the strike. A physical address is required.

3. Hold for Canada Post

If you’d rather wait for Canada Post to return to service, we can hold your order until the strike is over. We would advise against this option if you are aiming to get your package in time for Christmas, at this time there is no clarity for when the strike will end. We’ll keep you updated!

4. Rural or Remote Areas

Chit Chats Courier may not be available in some rural or remote areas. If that’s the case, we’ll contact you with options like FedEx or UPS (with an additional fee), or holding your order until the strike ends. We have added an upgrade to Fedex/UPS ground option that offers discounted pricing for these carriers.

5. Need Signature or Secure Delivery?

If you need a more secure delivery, we also offer FedEx or UPS—but keep in mind these options come with a shipping fee. We have added an upgrade to Fedex/UPS ground option that offers discounted pricing for these carriers.

US residents, despite the postal strike, free shipping continues as usual and parcels will be delivered by USPS. We will ship your order through our trusted third party shipping service, Chit Chat Select, who will mail our parcels from Champlain, NY. There are no additional customs fees or taxes when purchasing from us. We have also added an upgrade to USPS priority option at a discounted rate should you prefer a faster delivery option.

We’re here to make this as easy as possible. Reach out if you have any questions!
